SBL averages close to 350 in attendance each year.

State of Black Learning Conference attendees seeking Act 48 continuing education hours must complete the session verification form that will be provided during the conference. Attendees will submit the verification form electronically on their last day of participation. Upon completion, session hours will be submitted to PDE. Letters/Certificates of completion are available upon request. Attendees are responsible for providing proof of attendance/session hours to their Lead Educational Agency. Yes. The Wyndham is handicap accessible. 

Our presentation formats are designed to better appeal to our registrants learning styles. All presentation formats are designed to encompass the conference theme and seek to avoid traditional boring workshops.

A short solo presentation highlighting new and emerging ideas.

Individuals accepted to present will receive a waived registration and access to all SBL related-events.

Yes. Each year we release a SBL In-Action Guide and host mid-year events  that  will allow participants to make practical implementation year-round. To find out when this is happening, follow us on Facebook, IG, Twitter and Eventbrite. 

Currently childcare is not being provided. However, we are working with potential partners to provide childcare at a small fee for attendees who are in need of this service.
