The State of Black Learning is proud to present an unforgettable evening of dialogue, reflection, and inspiration featuring renowned scholar, philosopher, and activist Dr. Cornel West alongside Shayna Hammond, Founder and CEO of Indigo Unbound.

On August 5, 2026, leaders, educators, advocates, students, and community members from across the country will gather at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Station Square for a powerful conversation centered on education, equity, culture, leadership, and the future of Black learning.

This special event serves as the opening experience of the 2026 State of Black Learning Conference and embodies the conference theme: EmpowerED.
