The Black Excellence in Education Awards Gala serves as the culminating celebration of the 2026 State of Black Learning Conference, whose theme, EmpowerED, focuses on advancing educational excellence, innovation, leadership, and opportunity. Throughout the conference, participants will engage in conversations about the future of learning, workforce development, student success, and strategies for creating equitable educational systems. The Gala provides an opportunity to celebrate the leaders who are turning those conversations into action.
The evening will begin with a Reception and Networking Hour at 6:00 PM, offering guests the opportunity to connect with fellow education and community leaders. At 7:00 PM, attendees will enjoy dinner and the official awards program, featuring recognition of this year’s honorees and inspiring stories of impact and leadership. The celebration will conclude with Dessert and Dancing at 9:00 PM, creating an atmosphere of joy, connection, and reflection.
