Day 3 of the State of Black Learning Conference 2026 brought an incredible gathering in Pittsburgh to a powerful close.
Featuring renowned educator, scholar, and thought leader Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings, the final day challenged educators and leaders to think differently about culturally relevant teaching, educational equity, and what Black students need to thrive.
But SBL doesn’t end when the conference ends.
The ideas travel home.
The relationships continue.
The work continues.
And a community of educators leaves Pittsburgh EmpowerED to turn what they learned into action.
